Woody Hayes and OSU

OSU

My graduation from high School (with All-Pro WR George Sauer attending) led me to The Ohio State University. Though I was majoring in Home Economics Education and Dietetics, I couldn’t stay away from football. Everyone goes to games but I even went to practices and was fortunate to get to know the amazing Coach and gentleman Woody Hayes.

He encouraged me to pursue my dreams of getting into the world of Pro Football and became my mentor while at Ohio State. He allowed me access to every OSU practice, whether open or closed to the public, and it was there that I was able to begin better understanding what makes certain players special and other players ordinary. It was men like Woody (and Mike Holovak, Al Ward, Walt Michaels, and Charley Winner) who paved the way to help me succeed.
